Outings with my old classmates and friends!!

As promised from my last entry, i have some photos to upload from my outings with friends during the last few days of 2006.
on 27th i think, i went to meet ong lai! my favourite girlfriend who is always on for watching movies. i always catch a movie with her when we meet up, so in a way, she is my best movie kaki. haha. we went to shop in vivo but i dont recall buying many things as i had jus came back from bangkok and had definitely bought many things there. vivo is nice for shopping if you dont go there too often. going there once in a mth is always kinda refreshing. maybe its the boutiques, maybe its the whole ambience of vivo. so far, i havent gotten sick nor tired of vivo yet, despite increasing complaints from my friends that vivo is boring. haha. we went to watch the holidays, a movie i had initially wanted to watch with wk but he didnt want to. forget it man. i was so glad that ong lai wanted to watch that as well, so i had a date with her!! it was quite a good movie. i wont say its exactly memorable, cus its something u watch and u forget about it in a few mths time. well, there was cameron diaz and jude law which made me very happy cus i love jude law. he is just soooooooo handsome!! haha. and this is me and shereen aka ong lai. haha! gonna meet her again tml for another movie, confession of pain. my favourite tony leung and takeshi!!

on 28th, i went to meet my JC galfrens! havent seen maryanne in 3yrs i think. it had been such a long time since i had a gathering with the whole grp. i had met minyi and manyi separately but never as a whole grp with maryanne! so you can imagine my exhilaration when i saw the girls! we went for a KTV session and then late dinner. it was really great seeing the girls, and catcing up on old times and letting each other in on what is happening to us at the moment. we had even made it a point to meet each other monthly or once every two mths. it ll be great to catch up with them often! we wana go to settlers' cafe next! cus i havent been there before. haha. maybe we ll go during the 4th week of jan, since next sunday i am meeting elrica already, and the 3rd sunday of jan, we r gonna celebrate my brother's bday. so, i guess i ll organise one outing on 4th sunday of jan. yippee!! i love my jc galfrens alot. and i think its extremely impt to keep in contact with all your friends in order to keep the friendship going strong. if you do not try to do so and take ur friends for granted, one day, you ll find that they had slowly left you. its something i had experienced before a long time ago, but since, i had never taken my friends for granted anymore. =)
and thats manyi n minyi, maryanne and me!! i love the girls so much. and i cant wait to see u girls again!!

we knew that it ll be a long time before we met up again so we took many photos on our own using the self timer function. haha. which explains why the photos either have too little headroom or too much headroom. hah. i only gotta say i miss these girls so much and i really want to see them soon!! love you girls! =)

on 30th i went to meet the 2/4 girls!! i havent seen them in such a long while, esp girls like eileen and suli. all of them were there except suli! i miss you suli! but we had a fun time on the whole. we bought fake eyelashes and did the girly stuff like talk about bfs, (for me, its ex bf, haha) and had dinner then chilled out at TCC. i was really envious of the girls cus they were all happily in love. it made me feel like i wana fall in love again when i was with them. haha. meijing was really nice to me, she kept asking me to move on and find someone better cus she felt that wk dint deserve me at all. thanks gal! i appreciate your advice! too bad yufei had to go off immediately after dinner as she had to work. so the rest of us chilled out at TCC till late at night. before fei left, i took a photo with her! i couldnt miss the chance to take a photo with her cus i know that i wont see her anytime soon! it was so nostalgic just seeing th girls once more. all the way from sec one!! me and feifei!

before we left TCC, i took a photo with the rest of the girls as well. presenting to you the lovely babes from 2/4!!

yeah man, that was a whole week of meeting up with all my favourite girlfriends!! i really miss all of them alot and cant wait to see them soon! love you girls! =) more on NYE countdown at meiji's house in the next entry/ it was lots and lots of fun! haha.

Happy New Year Everyone!!

Hey ppl, its a whole new year again! Time flies, doesnt it? I feel like i had barely done anything much and the year is gone. Recalling the year of 2006, i say that it had been a rather fulfiling year. It had also really been a very DRAMATIC one as well. haha. Thinking back, i feel that getting to know Carrie from Michigan is a highlight. She had let me in alot on her American culture and how different it is from Singapore's. The endless partying nights with her had been really fun too. I miss you, Carrie. Another highlight would be Samuel's superband competition. Going to support him at mediacorp every week and getting to know many other ppl from the competition had been a fun one. It was great experience knowing these ppl cus i know that they are very good contacts that i need for my reporting next time as well. hehe. and Diya got into Superstar and is currently doing extremely well in the competition. she is now in the top 3 of the girl's category. Everyone, we gotta give her lotsa support! jia you Diya! One more highlight would be that i got the best results of my uni life in year 2 sem 2. Have never seen so many As in my uni life before. That was a very huge encouragement to me. Somehow, all the fulfiling things seemed to happen in the first half of the yr while the dramatic things happen in the second half. haha.

for the dramatic parts, wow, a whole lot. my very dramatic break up with him had finally ended.We broke and patch so many times and last yr october, he decided to end it once n for all. it was heartbreaking and certainly not for the faint hearted, i.e. me. i am such a hopeless romantic at heart, and i felt so upset for the past few months. it was so hard to get by and i spend every single night, without fail, drowning in my pool of tears. my social life dwindled and all i can remember is waking up to tears, calling him and crying till he hung up on me, and then slping in my tear-drenched pillows. it was horrible. it is probably one of the most dramatic thing that had ever happened in my life considering that i had never taken any past relationships as seriously before. well, we are still friends now, and i am slowly embracing singlehood. :) so, i guess it is probably and hopefully, a blessing in disguise.

and then, the second dramatic thing would have to be internship. it was a whole lot of disappointment and competition and mounting tension. friends who were vying for the same company found it weird and awkward to speak to each other. everyone felt nervous waiting for the interview results to be out, and for me, it was so disappointing when i knew that i was rejected. but as i mentioned before, things happen for a reason and i am glad that i got into sph. but hell yeah, it was such a dramatic period for all of us.

then there was the conflict between me, hsu and sy. it was crazy, ridiculous and funny, on hindsight. things could have been different if we handled everything differently. dramatic, yes. do i regret it? no. for me, whatever's happened cannot be changed, so i am fine with the outcome. at least i dont need to pretend to be nice to her in sch if i see her now. i can just ignore her openly, which is good!! :)

and then there was the conflict with 3 ppl in sch. not exactly a direct conflict but something that snowballed till almost everyone in sch got to know it. well, that is like the most dramatic thing i had experienced in sch in 2006. it is so scary!! haha.

ok, seems like all the dramatic things really happened in the second half of the yr. but 2006, despite all its downs and dramas, had been fulfiling for me in terms of school n internship company. :) in terms of my love life, i guess i have to cope slowly. life goes on without him!! i had met up with many friends lately and i am gonna post some of our photos up in my next entry! have you all written down ur resolutions? i had! and i am going to fulfil them! love, jaws.

Merry Xmas!!

Hello everyone! have been really busy lately. My xmas party had been a huge success! i had such great fun with my lovely family. it was such a heartwarming party~ my sisters n i even have a "party is a success" cheer. haha. i love celebrating xmas with my whole family, which includes my cousins n all. wow. i think i am gonna do this every year. have a celebration every 24th dec together with my family. so fun and heartwarming!

in the afternoon, the kids did what they were best at-- playing Xbox! Bryan n brayden were so engrossed in their game that they dint even pay any attention to me while i was taking a photo of them! then after a while, they finally noticed me and started to pose for me! so cute!! haha. i love my cousins! They are so adorable. :)

then we made our very own cheesecakes!! yoohoo! actually it was more of my sis's fren who made the cake n we just helped out in the decoration. haha! the cake was super delicious lah! i ate so many pieces. :P

as the night was drawing nearer n xmas was just around the corner, everyone started to put on their xmas hats! and brayden put on his whole santa claus suit, which was so adorable!! :)

and here's my extended family!! even my grandmother was wearing the santa claus hat! everyone was so into the festive mood. had such a great time that day man!

my dad bought a log cake too! so we had three cakes on that day n we sang 3 christmas jingles in total!! haha. we sang so loudly n till we were rolling over in laughters cus it was so hilarious. singing out of tune jingles really loudly n having a wonderful time!! :) and Brayden was so busy helping out with the giving out of cakes. haha. he is so adorable!!

and lastly, the presents!! i love presents!! thanks to my dearest family for attending the party n making my party a major success!! Woot woot!

An amazing Xmas dinner

I went for xmas dinner with wk yest night, 21st Dec. 21st used to hold a really special meaning for us. but not anymore... we wanted to catch a movie but GV was kinda screwed up. i tried to book tickets online twice n both they said booking confirmed but turned out it wasnt. so i was so pissed i decided to go down to buy tickets myself. but when i reached plaza, the tickets were only left for first 4 rows. so forget it man. we decided to just have a good dinner at cartel. actually wanted fish n co but i figured there would be many ppl too. so we settled for cartel which was very crowded as well. but it was sooooooooooooooooo fun!! i really miss him man. the dinner was perfect. nothing else better could have happened yest. wow! i really had such a happy time yest! wana relive it again!! =)=)=)

he gave me such a lovely xmas present! i love it so much. and a pretty xmas card with lotsa very touching words in it. i was so touched that i teared without letting him realise it. haha. i ADORE your present wk!! and i so adore you. :P i am glad he liked my present too. yippee!! so happy yest. a long and slow dinner with lotsa catching up and then taking the bounce train home. it was just like the good ole days. just that we arent together anymore. :( omg. the nostalgia is overwashing me again! and again and again...
and like the good ole days also, we took many photos while on the train. haha. it was so fun!!

this sunday i gonna celebrate xmas with my family! yay! i am gonna cook!! together with my grandma who really cooks very good food, and my sis, who is gonna do the desserts, and my twin, who is gonna make cheesecake. i am so excited about the xmas gathering-party!! =) it is going to be so fun n soooooooooooo heartwarming. celebrating xmas eve with my beloved family. i love you dearies!! muacks. :***

gonna meet up with many ppl after the 25th. sx, shereen, manyi n minyi n maryanne, and maybe soon da. oh! and meijing they all. i miss all of you!! cant wait to see u all!! and gonna have a crazy countdown party on 31st with my uni frens!! yoohoo! what better way to spend the last week of 2006. rocks! ;) and yes, i still love wk alot. haha. (and forgetting him is definitely not on my resolutions list for next yr. why forget him when i cant bring myself to do so? haha.)

Wow!! What an amazing week!! =)

This week had been really amazing. I came back fm Bangkok on sunday n saw meiji's sms that there is a KTV session on mon so i decided to go despite having not pack my luggage! haha. i am so glad to see my uni clique again! its nice seeing you all, miss you all soooooooooooo much. colin, meiji, shimin, irwin. too bad juice,el and hsu were not there. but we had great fun doing stupid things like not paying for my share, bitching about jenny, and stressing out over story ideas for internship. we also discussed what to wear on first day of internship. hahaha. it was great fun!! i miss colin esp, cus he went to taiwan n havent seen him for long. We gonna have a kickass countdown party on the 31st at meiji's house!! Yoohoo! i think we gonna turn her house upside down! haha. too bad i forgot my camera that day. din take photos. i love my uni clique!! MUACKS! i miss elrica, hsulin and justina!! see u on 31st! =)

then on tues, it started to rain CATS n DOGS. was supposed to meet onglai for movie but the rain was just crazy. i decided not to go out in the end cus i HATE the rain and i couldnt bear the thought of running thru the rain n risk getting drenched even with a huge umbrella. i am sorry gal! sorry that i couldnt make it that day!! luckily, i m meeting shereen on 26th for movie. so happy n excited! cant wait!! miss you gal. :(

wed i went to meet curtis for xmas shopping!!
xmas shopping with curtis is great! he is such a good shopper. super on!! i m glad that our friendship all the way fm alley bar survived till now! i believe in maintaining friendship with all my friends so i am really happy that me n curtis are still good buddies even though i had quit alley bar long ago. he is my best buddy fm alley bar man. always make me laugh n have mee pok at my house downstairs at 4am after work last time. with willy, mabel, tony, my sis, alan.. so fun lah!! i kinda miss alley bar days. they were crazy n fun. curtis is a friend who always make me laugh. and i believe that friends who make you laugh are the best for keeps. =) we went to vivo to shop for presents and i bought a shot glass, a card, and a funky box for wk. curtis is mad!! he bought over $100 worth of things for all his frens. so nice! we took some photos outside vivo cus the view is terrific. its such a romantic n lovely place to chill out with ur frens or other half. :) i think i am a romantic at heart. haha. anyway these are the photos of me n curtis.

After 4 hrs of xmas shopping, we headed to food republic for my FAVOURITE HOKKIEN MEE!!

everytime i go food republic, i ll eat the hokkien mee regardless of the queue. and i rem i even quarrelled with wk last time cus i wanted to eat it n he dint want to cus the queue was very long. haha. cant believe we quarel over that. its so funny just thinking back.
anyway, i think food republic's decor really rocks lah!! the one at vivo is even better than the one at wisma. it is so much more old school!! I have never loved food courts, in fact i detest them. but food republic rocks my world!! it has helped boost the image of food courts in sgp. haha.

So fun lah! shopping with curtis!! i am gonna meet him again hopefully next week to go down to Wine Flair to chill out. See if i still have money left! :)

Rest of my days at Bangkok!! =)

Well, the rest of the days in bangkok were lots of shopping! hahah. i was too busy shopping that i din ve time to take photos. haha. bought soooooooooooooo many pretty clothes back! woohoo! i think i am NEVER shopping in Singapore again. haha.

We went to this pretty botanic garden where we got to see the thai cultural show which was pretty enriching. they performed a cultural dance, thai boxing and other good shows. i kinda enjoyed it except for the fact that they allowed too many ppl into the venue and there were no seats. haha. this is a photo of the thai boxing match. it's just a performance though, not a real match.

After the show, we went to take a walk in the botanic garden and we took lots of pretty photos there! there were many pretty displays made from these small clay cups. my family managed to sneak in some time to take photos of the beautiful surroundings. yippee! =)

Thats my grandparents! i love them so much. check out the surroundings. its so surreal and pretty. being there really does wonders for the soul. i miss bangkok!! :(

look at the 1st picture. that is an elephant display made of tiny clay cups!! isnt it amazing? my family just had to take a photo with it. heh. and the 2nd photo is jus me and my sis acting vain. haha.

and thats a TUK TUK made of tiny clay cups! its really really cool man.thats my mummy who is the "driver", and me n my younger sis behind. i love this photo! so cute! haha. The 2nd photo is my family again with a butterfly made of clay cups too. i think thai are so skilled. they can make anything with their agile hands!! wow. i really have an urge to document thais and their ways of life. mmm.

and my family! all of us present except my dad cus he is the camera person! too bad he isnt in the photo, if not it is really "quan jia fu".

We also went to DreamWorld!! It's really a heaven for ppl who love thrills! its so much better than erm, pasir ris theme park. hahaha. The entrance!

There are many places for you to take photos near the entrance of the amusement park. it took us a long long while before we got to the rides because we were so captivated by the surroundings and were busy taking lots of photos. here are some of them!!

i think its a very romantic place to visit if both u and ur bf/gf loves to go to the amusement park. there are many areas designed specially for photo taking. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this car of love! haha. i think it would be so romantic if me n wk came here the last time we came thailand! its very very prettty n its like a wedding car made of preetty heart shapes. and in case u are wondering, there r all made of flowers n leaves. really pretty n cool. Do come here with ur loved ones for a holiday next time! you will love it! and u ll ve many more pretty photos to keep! =)

We also went to this Giant's House in which everything inside belongs to this sleeping Giant. i could feel the kid in me again when i went in, like how i used to believe there were giants in the world. everything inside was humongous!! look at the rocking chair n dining chair! they can easily fit all of us in and more!!

And... Time for the rides!! We took all the rides inside but only a few photos cus after a couple of rides, you tend to forget about photo taking which became a hassle. hahah. frankly speaking, the rides were not very scary. as compared to Genting, the rides are like 100 times milder. genting ones are damn hiong! haha. but the viking was scary. i screamed till my heart n lungs almost dropped out. hahha.

and then, time for some more photo taking before we bid farewell to lovely DREAMWORLD...

THe 4 of us became famous overnight by winning the "Dream World Bodybuilding World Champion" held in Thailand. look! everyone is asking for a pose from us!! hehe.
