Terrorism strikes.
yes. we were at the place where the bombing took place. chaos everywhere. ppl got seriously injured. it was a horrifying experience. we were all running for our lives, screaming for help. and it happened Without Warning.
Alright, thats basically the scenario of the shooting location of the documentary "Without Warning". we were required to run out of the MRT station, screaming "help!" etc. it was quite fun. and really exciting too. i was so glad linhui, sari, dylan n gary were there too. it made the whole thing more fun. if not, i would ve dozed off to slp when it hit 5am.

Getting in touch with my inner self
Woah. i havent posted an entry in a while. it had been a busy week, i must say. spent the week going to gym with my fav manyee, going on an adventure with my guy-Harry Potter, and then yesterday, went on a ride on a train that had been bombed.
glad that i finally finished reading harry potter after scrambling in time here and there to read it. i dont really have the luxury of reading the book all at once in a full day. but well, the book meets up to its expectations. though i felt that the plot moved on a little too slowly. there were many chapters full of momotonous doings, and letting us dwelve into the memories of the Pensive. well, i suppose J.K. Rowling has to let the story move on a little slower, shedding the very exciting climax of the past few books, as this is the 6th book already. she needs to pave the path for the final book. and thus, no extreme hexing or jinxes anymore.
comparisions with its previous books aside, i had a great adventure together with harry potter n Dumbledore. the ending was very touching and for a split second, i was almost moved to tears... i cant wait for the 7th book to be out!! and yah, i still think the 3rd book is the best: harry potter and the prisoner of Azkaban.
Yesterday, we went for the filming of this terrorism documentary for mediacorp. and it was an experience. luckily, me and the rest were not the ones who were required to be "injured". the injured ppl fm the "bomb blast" had hideous makeup. we only had dusty hair n black powder over our face. bad enough already!! alright, i ll blog about this fully when i get the photos fm linhui. cus she took most of the photos. i was too busy discussing with Sari what to wear for this sem's dinner n dance cus it was Silverscreen, Hollywood. i wanted to be Gandalf, then i wanted to be Dumbledore, and then i wanted to be powerpuff girls and lastly, i thought i will go as Paris Hilton. hahaha. i think this theme rocks!! what a fantasy come true. being able to dress as a Hollywood character. if i m really going as Paris Hilton, i need my dor carrier and a small little cutie dog with a bow. haha. its so fun just thinking about the D&D. i bet its gonna be sooooooo fun! i think i might end up going as Smurf. the girlie Smurf. or maybe Spider woman. and bring sprays there and spray a cobweb at ppl when they are eating. whahahaa. :))
oh well, thats the kinda thing that makes me look forward to sch. but the lessons are irking me. bleah. i needa set myself some resolutions when sch starts. and i hope i really follow them. not.
1) Study Hard. my results last sem are something i am so proud of and i am using them as a stringent benchmark for myself next sem. something like that.
2) Sleep early. the benefits of slping early, are aplenty. but somehow, i never hit the sheets before 3am during sch days, and 5am during holidays. no way!! i needa slp early. it can nourish my skin, improve my health and yeah.. the list goes on. Chitra once told me that slping early can make one lose weight!! yah, i wana slp early. not that i never tried though. i just cant. :(
3) Exercise regularly. oh well, i have been rather lazy last sem. spent all my time doing projects n going out. i needa start exercising!! all the fats are oozing out! i am glad that i ve finally picked up my pace and am working towards it. hope i dont revert back to my old ways when sch starts. need to exercise even when sch begins!! Jia you!
4) Save money. Shop LESS. yes. thats one of the main resloution that i m determined to follow. i ve been squandering my money as if they are water! this is horrendous. i wana save.for a next trip. and also, for my graduation trip that me and wk are planning!! we wana go aussie!
ok, for these travelling dreams, i need to save. i must!!
alright, and thats for now. things i m working towards. i find them important to enriching me as a healthier person. i wana slowly shed off clubbing. cus of the late nights. mayb once in a while. but not every week. i wana cut down on coffee. yeah.. i wana be healthier. i must. and this time, i dont use the word "try". :))

Library job. Retail Therapy. Clubbing. Gym.

it was mon morn, 730am. and i was awake! i attempted not to slp the day b4, as i had a library job on mon morn at 830. but i fell asleep at 630am. luckily, i was able to wake up in time for the job! 1st day, good impression. Yay! the job was introduced by HweeSim. and i was really happy that day cus working with frens is always fun! me, hs, and liya. getting in touch with books is SHIOK. it makes me wana read many many books b4 sch starts. when sch starts, i ll ve time for nothing except projects n assignments. eew. what a turnoff. anyway, all we did was take out the new books, borrow them n return them. it is pretty slack, just that it is very hurting for the fingers. the books are rough and they cut too. i got cut by several books. OUCH!
After working there that day, i am determined to enrich my inner self by reading more books, doing more sports and meeting up with more friends. i wana do all these before sch starts! i mean, i hope n i know these activities will continue till sch starts but it ll be great if i can start during the sch holidays, and of cus, make it a habit! Yippee. THese are my goals, and what i wana do for the remaining 2 weeks of my holidays. :))

it was a disappointing day! i overslept and did not go to work. my 1st day's good impression failed. badly. everyone was asking where i was. hai, i m really such a pig. work one day then cant make it already. i feel so sad. But well, i went to meet brownie n he certainly made my day!
we went to marina square n i bought a shirt for him. meant to be his bday present. buy it in advance while i still ve the cash. i love going out with wk. its always comforting to ve have him ard, esp if i m feeling lost or upset. and it happened that i was really feeling insecure n lost on that day. thanks dear!
We went to carls jr for dinner. yummy! i gotta say the burgers rock my world! and the oinion rings were HUGE-ASS. woah!! they were so big they could act as my new onion-RIMMED specs. haha. 
i can forsee myself going to carls jr every so often!! the burgers, the onion rings and the chocolate shake. Do i hear the word "SIN"? oh well, prolly once in a month, i ll go. ahhhh. yes, once in a month.

Wed was a happening day. i went to teach tuition n it was a pleasure. :) the kid was exceptionally good and obedient today. for the first time ever. time flew n i was outta house in 90mins b4 i realised it. thats great!
then i went for dentist and it was a torture. :( Dentist said i ve to wait kinda long b4 i can take out my braces. i am so sad. i tot i can take out my braces soon! like b4 sch term starts. looks like i ve to wait. and i hate waiting.
After dentist, i went to meet HS n Liya for retail therapy!! yay! We combed the whole orchard area. HS bought a necklace fm far east, me n liya each bought a top fm Mambo. Nice tops! i like... i ve been spending alot lately on material buys. i needa cut that down. i tot aft i came back fm bangkok, i ll stop shopping as my shopping cravings will probably ve been satisfied in bkk. but i m so wrong. after i came back, which is only a week, i bought a pair of heels, an esprit bag, a shirt for wk, a book, and a mambo top. i think i m a label whore. i love all these labels. i m glad i havent degenerate into buying big brands like LV or gucci. i dont want to end up like those office ladies who always sign with their credit cards and then, starve a whole month to pay off their debts. no way. i m satisfied with esprit, mambo, zara, topshop and mango and what-have-you. i need to cut down on shopping. :(

yah, thats me and the two girls. i was wearing a very lovely floral dress. first time wearing it. yippee! anyway, its nice hanging out with old frens.i feel comfortable, at ease, and we can talk about everything under the sun. fm guys to boobs. thats what i like about hanging out with amk gals. the many years of friendship allow us to crap and fool ard without feeling pissed or upset with each other. yay! i m glad our friendship is still going strong.
After shopping with them, i went to meet wk for a while. dint talk much though as he was busy playing dota n i was getting ready to club! yay. clubbing with pegs, sindy, fanny n alison. woah! it was damn fun. as usual, we saw ben they all inside. nice seeing old frens in zouk. zouk was soooooooooo packed that day. due to jolin's event which ended at 9pm. omg. it was so squeezy i felt uncomfortable. luckily, we got ourself a comfortable dancing spot at the corner, which is also a lao di fang for ben and the guys. they always dance there.
that night was pretty high. and fun. me, peg n sindy downed many shooters!! which also explains why peg spent the later half of the night puking. and me? a bad sore throat the next day.

went to the gym the next day with manyee. though i was certainly very tired after the clubbing night, i scrambled out of bed for some california loving. haha. the facilities are really good. but i hate the consultants n the personal trainers. they speak to me as if they despised me cus i am fat. the way they commented on how fat i was made me feel uncomfortable n inferior. i was so at a loss of what to do!! i hate them. and they said all that simply to get us to sign on the package. which i wont.even if i ve the money. bleah. ><>
anyway, after they stopped bothering us, me n manyee went to try many of the machines there. had such a good workout yest!! we exercised almost nonstop for 3 hrs. with a few mins of water break here n there. felt so good about myself after that. u noe how exercising always makes u feel good? the endorphins, yes i noe. yup, i am so glad the guy extended my trial period to 11days. so i can go to the gym for a few more days! yeah! enjoying 5 star gym facilities all for free. what more can i ask for? oh and the steam bath was pretty good too. except that i felt it was a little suffocating initially. i dont really like saunas, which prolly explains y i dint like the steam bath when i stepped in. well, i am going to make sure i keep going to california fitness in the next 10 days. dont wana miss this chance to keep fit. at no cost. woah!!

supposed to go for body combat class with manyee today. but we both feel really tired fm the workout yest.so we postponed our class to tml. cant believe we are going to do body combat for free! this trial thing really rocks. i wish it lasts more than 11days. hai. tml meetin wk as well. for some in house movies,popcorns n alcohol. cant wait. yeah!!
these few days had been very fulfiling for me. i m doing exactly what i had hoped for since mon morn. exercising to keep fit n of cus, lose some fat. reading, to keep my mind enriched. and also meeting up with frens. hweesim n liya. manyee. and pegs they all. a few days was all i need to get it started. i m glad i did it!! in the past, i most prob ll be too lazy to go out with my frens or go exercse. and now, i need to keep the passion burning!! :)
continue to meet up with frens, continue to exercise even after my trial ends, and of cus, continue to read more books. though it ll be difficult, but i needa make it a habit. :) after i finish harry potter,i am gonna buy freakonomics. aft my gym trial, i m gonna drag wk to yishun gym with me. though there isnt 5star facilities there, at least i can do abit of my exercise. yay! i feel so organised now. a feeling that i havent had for quite a while.
and today is our 2and a half yrs anniversary. love you baby! we ll have a great time tml with the movie session n the alcohol! haha. love.

yup, thats me in the lovely dress. and if i am to give a title for this picture, it will go:" epitome of a narcissist." haha. Me and brownie went shopping on fri for a short while n i bought a pair of pointy gold heels! Always wanted a pair of gold heels but havent found any i like. finally i found it! Yeah! i love the heels alot. and i bought Harry Potter and the half blood prince for only $9.95! What a steal. u know how miserable it is to always walk into Kino or Borders and wana buy every single book there but my finances doesnt allow me?? always walk out of the stores with only one book or empty handed. i wanted to buy harry potter long ago. but someone said he wanted to buy it for me, whose name i shant reveal. he bought it, but we dint have the chance to meet at all, and so, no free book for me! i waited sooooooooooooo freaking long for the price to drop! and i dint expect it to drop by so much. $10 singy dingies for a good book. *CHEERIOS* Anyway, me and brownie got bored at the cafe while waiting for our fav Posh Spice. so we took some photos! i did a mini collage for this. but it isnt very nice. :( too tired. basically, my fri eve was spent relaxing at a cafe and then shopping. with my fav guy. what a perfect date. *a date to remember* :) Saturday. 15.07.06 sat, i decided to stay at home. cus was very tired n had a little tiff with wk in the morn. but towards the eve, i got bored n asked my aunt out. miss my aunt! and i asked my cousin along too. we went to chinatown to have late nigt supper.. oops. what a sin. but i cant resist food man! seriously, aneroxic and bullemic ppl, u dont know what you Are missing out on! Saturday was super humid n warm. so i wore a cap out. i dont like caps. they make my already round face looks Xtra round. ":( all the photos i look very wierd. haha. did another mini collage. this one is worse. cus i only managed to get 2 photos which r not that ugly. :( u noe how on some days, no matter what pictures u take, u look wierd? yah, that was one of those days. it must have been the cap. boohoo. thats my aunt and my cousin! feel so happy to see them. havent seen them in a long long while. and passed them their souvenirs which i got fm bangkok. We ate at DaPaiDang and basically jus hang ard for quite awhile. the food in chinatown dapaidang is AWFUL! dont ever try them. one plate of noodles for $5, the qlty is worse than that of a foodcourt. eew. i hate it when i gotta pay for bad food. and the prices at steep too. i can get better ones for $2 at Khatib coffeeshop! love love love the foood there! esp the fried kway teow. yooohoo! i am drooling now, just thinkin about it. yummylicious! Coffeeshop food is always the best. After late late dinner, i took the train home. on my way fm NEL to the other side, someone called me. it was Kenneth. wow. havent seen him for prety long. and he told me he was meeting Dalun n shixiu n asked if i was going. cant believe it! THe 3 of us (DL, SX and me) have been wanting to meet since yonks ago, and Kenneth said they were meeting that night. So, we met up and went over to Brewerks for some drinks. it was really nice seeing the guys again! havent met for soooooooooo long! *reminiscence sets in* alright, here are the pictures: and yah, my sat was sooooooo memorable. meeting up with ppl i havent seen for so long. Sun 160706 sun. the day for lazy pigs like me!went to meet brownie to scout for roller blades! we are both getting a pair of blades. finally, i am using my money to pursue my passion. instead of spending it on clothes. yippee! in this way, every weekend we can think of a new place to go blade. that ll be sooo fun! i havent been skating for very long already. think i prolly ll fall alot on my first trip out. needa practise! but i havent buy yet. not enuff $$ now. wait till next week. i told wk: "lets wear slack slack. i m wearing tshrit n sneakers." in the end, i wore this: hahaha. cus i saw this dress hanging all by itself in my wardrobe. buy for so long already, but havent even worn it once. it looked so pretty, all ready to be worn by me! hehe. yup, and off we went. to city hall to scout for skates. So happy. one weekend, i managed to wear 2 dresses for the first time. they had been hanging in my wardrobe, crying for attention! and both of them are not cheap. i dunno y i bought them, and never wore them b4. goon doo me. i really love this dress. its a very close fight between this n the zara polka dots one. haha. well, wk love these 2 dresses too! and thats us:

This past weekend had been really fun. on fri, i went to meet brownie for dinner at our lao di fang. haha. at NYDC cafe lah. the place where we went on our first date. heh. it was so fun! i wore my favourite zara polka dots dress! Weee~ i love the dress alot. and it was my first time wearing it! hehe.

Ending my bday with a heartwarming celebration. :)
After the 1st day of amazing celebration with wk, the second day was something much simpler. my plan for that day was to go for camp, then meet my family in the eve for dinner, then meet the gals for some champagne at the loof. and it turned out that the gals pang seh me on my bday!! i was so darn disappointed with them. i mean, how can u tell me u cant come for my celebration only on the day itself? in the end, the thing was called off and i dint even go to meet ah bok n adelia they all for clubbing as i promised. bok they all were really nice, they wanted to celebrate with me by clubbing together. but cus the loof party was cancelled, i dint go for the clubbing at all. sorry gals fm bungee! but well, things happen for a reason i guess. disappointed i am. but i still love the amk gals.
alright, dinner with my big family was a heartwarming one. when my little cousins are there, things are always fun! hehe. brayden was there! he is soooo cute. he shaved his hair and he looks like a little monk now. hehe. but he is still as mischievous as ever. brownie really surprised me on the second day. he said he wont join me n my family for dinner since hde already celebrated with me b4 hand. he said he bought a 2nd cake for me, and he will bring it down only aft we finish our dinner at the restaurant. i was really excited to see the cake! cant believe he bought me 2 cakes. haha. thanks dear!
after dinner, we headed back to my aunt's house to cut the cake. everyone was surprised when they saw the cake. its beautiful!!

i love my grandparents! i used to stay with them when i was young. they were the ones who watched me grow up. thats me, grandma,grandad, my prettay sis, and notti brayden. ")

after we sang the bday song and blew out the candles, i cut the cake with my aunt, who shares the same bday as me!! :) my aunt is fm thailand! and i wana go shop with her in thailand the next time we go there! confirm can get many things at a low low price! cheap cheap!
yep! and that episode 2 of my 21st bday celebration. the pooper for the day was: being "pang seh" by the gals! :(
but overall, i had a wonderful celebration. heartwarming, happyy, touching. and hweesim actually came down all the way to my house very late at night on that day and we spent the whole night talking and drinking vodka peach. yum yum. and then we both slowly drifted off to lala land... THE END.

took a couple of pictures with the expensive lovely roses. it ll be a waste not to take a few precious shots right? heh. After all that delightful dinner at Pariss, we headed back home. Brownie said he had another surprise for me. on the train, we took a couple of photos that i love so much! i like photos taken without flash. they r much more natural and the lightning is not so harsh. :) this is the one with flash. funny thing is the lights were off when this picture is taken. but it is so bright! the whole romantic ambience is lost. :( but its really beautiful... taken from top view. the cake is so cute right? i lurve it! its the princess cake fm angie's choice. its too adorable to be eaten. everything brownie did for me was just so sweet. from the 21 roses to the princess cake to the seashells n tealight candles. thanks darling! i wish, i wish, i wish upon a star tonight... cake cutting session!! after which, i proceeded to open brownie's present. yay! pressies! i like... brownie's idea was to get 21 roses n 21 items for me on my bday. i think its such a sweet idea! but he managed to get 21 roses, but not the 21 items. but its sweet enuff dear! i appreciate it. thanks alot! every single thing inside the box is beautiful, and i love them! thanks! at the end of the day, i embrace everything that wk has done for me. and i dont want to let the memories fade. everything is vividly imprinted in my mind, heart and soul. thanks for the perfect bday celebration! what a way to start off my 21st! :)
Starting my Bday celebration with a BANG! :)
yay! i am officially 21! yoohoo! Celebrated my bday with my dearest brownie on tues, 11july. he really amazed me with his efforts put into celebrating my bday. i am so touched! thanks darling! first of all, he appeared at orchard mrt to meet me, with a big bouquet of roses in his hands! i was so surprised to see the roses. there were 21 roses in the bouquet! and i tot that was really really sweet. i was so happy. :) thats me grinning fm ear to ear with the big bouquet of roses! i really love roses. deep red roses. lovely. 
we went over to Pariss for international buffet dinner which was yummylicious! actually, i brought him to this place last yr for his bday celebration. and since we both really enjoyed ourselves therre, he decided to bring me there for my bday this yr. thanks dear! so i took a couple of pictures of our food during the beginning of the dinner. the food is goood! thinkiing about the food makes me wana go back again! i miss Pariss already! too bad i ve no money!:( 
wow!! look at the food! i miss them... goose liver, smoked salmon, baked oysters, teriyaki unagi, tiger king crabs, raw fresh oysters, lobster salad.... and the list goes on. omg. looking at this picture now makes me drool. check out the oysters!! 
they were so fresh n so delicious! and yes, they are HUGE! besides the oysters, the mussels and scallops were the next best thing. they taste good both baked and garlic fried. 
i love seafood!! really fresh ones. i can eat so many of them at a go! yum yum.. and the chocolate fondue. yoohoo! they are amazing stuff. i am in euphoria just thinking about the seafood n the chocolate fondue!! i am about to squeal in delirium! weeeee! 
Isnt this photo lovely? i like it so much! the lighting is very natural and there isnt any ugly harsh colours or contrast. yippee! here is another one. love both! 
back at home, brownie surprised me with his efforts put into creating a perfect bday celebration for me. Thanks dear! He used rose petals and seashells to decorate an area of his room and lighted up the area with many tealight candles. on the wall, he pasted letterings that said," happy 21st birthday baby". it is sooooooooo sweet! and every alphabet is intricately sprinkled with glitter dust, accompanied by small pretty heart shaped stickers. they are oh-so-lovely! photos reallly dont do justice to the whole lovely decor baby did for me. it just cant capture the essence of the decor! and the ambience! i took 2 pictures, one with flash n one without. sadly, both dont look as good as the real deal. but well, here they are: 
baby gave me a lovely precious moments box which i simply adore! and there were many vintage lovelys inside the box that baby bought for me! how sweet...
